Ok, we celebrated NYE in Hongkong-Shenzen (Yaay!) from Dec 30-Jan 3. We had so much fun cause we're celebrating our parents 25th Anniversary and Moi's Birthday. MUCH FUNN! (Ps: we went with Panorama Tours, suckyyyy! but fun, Lol)

Day 1: We arrived like 4PM at HK time and we stayed at Tsim Tsa Shui. We didn't waste anytime and go shopping at Central! We only got the chance to go to Landmark, On Lan Street, and H&M. Joyce at Central was so coooooolll! The interior are to die for and the brands selection are quite nice. I got a pair of Lanvin high-tops and my sis got Dries van Noten bag. On Lan Street also one cool street to go to when you're in HK. There they have stores like Louboutin, Dsquared2, Ice Cream (yes, Pharrell), Margiela, CdG, Mihara Yasuhiro, Ann Demeulemeester, D-Mop (Multibrands like, Preen, Ann-Sofie, etc) There After that we're so hungry we almost fainted, so we ate Indian Food haha.

Day 2: DISNEYLAND! My mom got so excited she barely even feel cold. The weather was like 6 degrees. At night, we hanged at Harbour City before NYE and the roads were closed it was like people everywhere shopping like crrrrrazzy, fun though.

Day 5: Wake up at 5AM, cause at 7 we have to go back to HK for free-time. For those who didn't want to go shopping, they took off earlier to go to the Airport (Like, LOL) Ok, this sucks but fortunate for us in a different way. Our flight scheduled at 14.30 but those sluts at GA delayed our flight until 23.30, it was not delayed, it was more like cancelled until tomorrow (Bitch) Then, my sister and I decided to go back to the city via Airport Express which costs like HK$ 180 and go to H&M Store, oh i got my long-awaited-wanted Givenchy's Suede Derbys yea.

Overall, the trip was fun. Thx Mom & Dad.

Can't wait to go back in March! and go to Causeway Bay and Joyce Warehouse!

After spending one year in London attending fashion and graphic design classes at Central Saint Martins College, she started her formal education in 1996 at the University of Applied Arts, Department of Fashion, Vienna. During her training, Ploier was taught by Jean-Charles Castelbajac, Viktor&Rolf and finally Raf Simons. In2000, while still at the University, she presented her first collections in Vienna and Berlin. okay, I'm an ANTM series whore, though i always end up fake-puking everytime i see the show.

The show is super-lame, overrated, tyra sucks to the max, and i often don't agree with the selection of winner. I know, i know, but i just watch it anyway, addictive? obviously.

I recently watched 3rd season of Australia's Next Top Model via YouTube, and i love love the winner, Alice Burdeu, the best and the most success winner of Next Top Model franchise ever, i think.

Haah, what can i say about this movie? (rolling eyes)

I love The Mummy movies, especially the 2nd one. But this 3rd sequel, lame lame lame!

first, Maria Bello as Evelyn O'Connell, it doesn't work for me. Rachel Weisz was a far far better Evelyn than Bello.

secondly, i don't like the character of mature Alex O'Connell (Rick O'Connell's son).

i. just. don't. like. him.

thirdly, the plot! For God's sake! capital l-a-m-e.

Senseless, weird, over the top, it's just plain weird, like Paris Hilton weird. Oh, come on the director/script writers/whatever, i always love the mummy stories, but why? why the hell did you give us some cheesy storyline? hell.

lastly, the effects, lame effect at the end especially, when the sands formed two figures of the characters, smiling, and it made me drop my jaw, shocked. ugh. and i think that's the worst part of the movie, worst worst worst.

yeah, i gave this movie 5/10, cause it was entertaining at some point.

Here's another gender-bending label, BaronBaronne. A Paris-based label made by two designers, Sibylle Genin and Lambert Perera Cortes. The pieces easily pull out the masculinity of every woman feminity.

Cloverfield (Matt Reeves, 2008)

At first, i thought Cloverfield is only a standard Sci-fi movie involving monsters like Godzilla (which i really like), and i was ready to have a relaxing pop-corn time. The story was about 5 friends, tried to save their other friend that stucked in her apartment, while also tried to stay alive from the monster called Cloverfield.

The producer was J.J. Abrams (Lost), so that's gonna be good!

The movie started, and there's flashes of different scenes, taken from some handy-cam, and it made me confuse. I thought it was just an intro. Then there were scenes of some boring party moments, people giving testimonials about the person that's party was being held (later i knew that he's going to leave NYC).

And yeah, the pictures still showed from 3rd person camera angle, my god it's going to be confusing and dizzy and i hate that..

but then, the story goes, and guess what? It's really more thriller than sci-fi, scary and played in real time, i felt as if i was there. Scary, and felt so real. And i like it!

Though i hate the ending, but for me it's a very realistic movie, and the ending was just perfect for the plot.It's not from some super-saviours trying-to-save-the-day-point of view, but just some regular kids that stucked in horrifiying monster attacks. They're just everyday people, like us.

And for the monster, it's very almighty :p like cannot be killed..

The minus point: i just hate that rob and beth character, stupid stupid!

Damir Doma is a Croatia-born designer, currently based in Paris. He once worked for Dirk Schönberger in Antwerp, and also worked for Raf Simons.

He do menswear, and his collections are about soft silhouettes and constructions.

words words: I decided to make this post because it's about an Indonesian designer.To be honest I'm not familiar with Indonesian designer and i think they lack of something, i dont know what, innovation or originality maybe? Buuut, i found this person when i was strolling through the Sartorialist blog, and thought that this person was awesome! he used a Dries Van Noten sarong pants, which is part of the women collection! gosh.. now that's one reason to love him. :p that was when the stalking started.. LOL

Alright, here goes..

Heaven Tanudiredja, is a talented Indonesian designer :)) and was born in Bali, 1982. (a Balinese, huh? no wonder..)

Once worked for Biyan for 7 years, since he was only 15 (!!).

Got a diploma degree at Esmod, Jakarta. Then he studied abroad at Hogeschool Antwerpen in Antwerp, Belgia (It's the same as Royal Academy of Fine Arts, attended by the Antwerp Six, AF Vandevorst Bernhard Willhelm, Veronique Branquinho, and many others) and it's where his popularity began..

He worked for John Galliano's Christian Dior Couture for Kylie Minogue show in 2006.

He also recently collaborated on accesories line with Dries Van Noten.

He's currently living in Paris, France.

When you walk by a shop like Roberto Cavalli or Valentino with its advertisement or maybe when you flip a magazine such as Vogue Paris or V Magazine you might see photographs that have a side of quirkyness and elegance on other. Yep, those photos must be taken by this duo of Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin.

Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin have been life partners as well as inseparable photographic collaborators since they met while studying at Amsterdam’s Art Academy in 1986. They are among the few photographers that straddle the line between art and fashion, showing their work in galleries around the world while photographing campaigns and editorials for leading brands and magazines. Their first art projects, Thank You Thighmaster (1993) and Final Fantasy (1993), were developed while van Lamsweerde undertook a residency at New York’s PS1 Contemporary Art Center. They were two of the earliest gallery-based projects to convincingly use digital manipulation to confront the viewer with the implications of the technological era while visualizing an internal dialogue.

Today's weather is quite cool, not as hot as usual :)

and it's very soothing to listen to My Brightest Diamond's album "Bring Me The Workhorse"

An old album, but it just kept playing on my playlist, so.. yeah whatever.

Her voice in this album is very lovely, and just bring me to another dimension with fairies in it, kind of magical i suppose.

The sound of her music is very theatrical, added by many ups and downs emotions. I don't know why, but i like this album better than the "A Thousand Shark's Teeth".

My favorite track is 'Dragonfly', love love love!

the designer herself

Ann Demeulemeester is a magnificent fashion designer from Belgium that is also a member of Antwerp Six along with Dries Van Noten.

She graduated from Antwerp's Royal Academy of Fine Arts.

Her collections are very masculine and can categorized as unisex, often consists of blazers or suits for women but in a stylish woman way :) like she added some fringes, or frills. Amazing.

As for me, i like her FW 2008 collections, because there's a lot of layering, i love layers! eventhough Jakarta is hot as hell :p

I am not a big fan of fashion,

and i dont understand the blah blahs of fashion.

but I really appreciate some great designers whose designs consist of great artworks and they put a lot of thinking in it.

So here goes my 'kesotoian', cause i'm not an expert okay? I'll just write a little about them

that i think i have fallen in love with..

Feels like Star Trek

Martin Margiela is a Belgian-based designer, and an Antwerp's Royal Academy of Fine Arts graduate.

He once joined the Antwerp Six group along with fellow Dries Van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester (which both i also luuuurvve), Walter Van Beirendonck, Dirk Van Saene, and Dirk Bikkembergs.

In my opinion, his designs are very smart, daring, quirky, often dark, constructed very well, and very conceptual. Very architectur-ish (is that even a word?)

For the last 2 years he's been bringing shoulder pads back, which is very daring! He's against the fashion do's and dont's, oh you rebel, that's why i love him :)

But his pieces are way too expensive for me to buy, i saw a lovely blouse piece in singapore and it cost S$500-ish after 50% discount, that means about S$1000-ish before discount! DAMN! why oh why... well that's the maison line though, the most expensive line.

there's the MM6, the ligne six, which is cheaper than the maison, butt... the designs are less complicated. Hmpf..

The rad L'incognito glasses! It will turn me into some Terminator-y chick :)) super coool
